A Trip to Chinatown

Today was a beautiful day in the NJ/NY area, the clouds and humidity disappeared and gorgeous sunshine came our way. My friend and i took our sons to Chinatown. After dodging the tunnel traffic we parked and toured the little shops. There is tons to buy....we got beautiful pashminas, each store has shelves of them. our kids got sunglasses and gifts for their girlfriends. We got our jewelry. Then lunch in Little Italy and watched the people stroll by. Lots of fun. A real NYC afternoon, The park in Chinatown was full of people playing all sorts of games cards, dominoes, a Chinese concert

Here is my most recently completed knitting project. One of many that I have in various stages of knitting. I started the A/C was cranked up in the restaurant. This is made from a wool silk blend and is just perfect to cover one's shoulders during the summer.
I wore it over a simple black dress.

My first post today, after mulling over starting a blog I decided to take the plunge. Why? I have been spending way too much time reading blogs --knitting, J Crew, etiquette hell, this will be more constructive I hope.
